Workshop Highlights

1. Nervous System Regulation:
Discover how gentle, consensual touch can help regulate the nervous system, reducing stress and promoting a sense of calm and well-being. This workshop provides techniques to help you harness the power of touch to soothe and balance your body and mind.

2. The Importance of Touch:
Touch is a fundamental human need. Learn about the significant role it plays in our emotional and physical health. Experience firsthand how positive, non-sexual touch can foster a sense of security, belonging, and happiness.

3. Boundaries:
Understand and respect personal boundaries. Our workshop includes practical exercises to help you set and communicate your limits clearly and confidently. Learn the essential skill of respecting others' boundaries to create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

4. Intimacy and Affection:
Explore the different facets of intimacy and affection in a non-sexual context. Our activities are designed to help you build trust and closeness with others, enriching your relationships and enhancing your sense of community.

5. Verbal and Nonverbal Communication:
Effective communication is key to any relationship. Practice both verbal and nonverbal communication skills to express your needs and desires clearly. Learn to read others' cues and respond appropriately, ensuring a mutual understanding and respect.

6. Non-Sexual Touch:
Experience the profound benefits of platonic physical affection. Our workshop emphasizes the importance of non-sexual touch, providing a safe space to connect with others through hugs, hand-holding, and gentle touch. These interactions promote emotional healing and strengthen social bonds.

Cuddle Lab Agreements

Your physical and emotional ease is a top priority in the Cuddle Lab. Harmony and exploration rest on upholding these agreements.

1. The Cuddle Lab is a Drug and Alcohol Free Space

Please do not take any drugs or alcohol before the workshop.

2. Confidentiality

To honour confidentiality, only speak about your own personal experience outside of the cuddle workshop. Do not mention any names or experiences of other people that attended the workshop.

3. ALL of you is welcome

Whether you are nervous, apprehensive, grieving, excited, joyful - all of your emotions are welcome here.

4. Non-Sexual Space

No kissing, no touching of breasts, genitals or bums, all clothing remains on during the workshop.

5. Consent

Always ask permission before you touch someone and wait to hear a YES.

6. Boundaries

If you want to experience touch and affection, you say YES. If you don’t want to experience touch and affection you say NO. If you are uncertain, say NO. You can change your mind at any point during the workshop. Exploration of these boundaries is a key component to exploring consensual touch.
