Katie's love of connecting with people and a belief in the healing power of touch gave her the inspiration to learn and practice massage, a study that she continues today.
Qualifying from the London College of Massage (LCM) with a diploma in therapeutic massage in 2011, Katie has just completed Advanced Clinical Massage Training (and other further trainings) with Jing Advanced Massage School in Brighton, and has tutored part time at the London College of Massage.
Her massage practice is informed by the integration of new skills, techniques and understanding that further learning and teaching provides; with over seven years of direct experience supporting people to live relaxed and pain free lives.
Katie has a rich array of training and a wealth of experience of caring in the community.
Qualifications:
A 15 year practice of yoga informs Katie's perspective on anatomy, the energy body, and healing modalities. Hatha Yoga has been the consistent theme in her yogic pursuits, dedicating 10 years to the study of Hatha yoga and principles of Tantra with the Tara Yoga Centre, London, and later completing a teacher training with Yogi Ashokananda.
A keen cyclist, Katie has a good appreciation of the athletic spirit, and how anatomy serves to support that. Her yoga and meditation experience give her insight into the interconnected nature of life, something she celebrates through her interactions with others, and in her practice as a massage therapist.
